What does it mean to find rest in Christ according to scripture?

Answered in 1 source

Finding rest in Christ means being free from condemnation and secure in His righteousness.

Finding rest in Christ is central to the believer's experience of salvation. Romans 8:1 declares that there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. This rest encompasses freedom from the guilt of sin and the perfect righteousness of Christ imputed to believers. Just as the dove sought the safety of the ark, believers find their ultimate refuge in Christ, where their burdens are lifted and their sins are forgiven. This spiritual rest is assured by Christ’s finished work, allowing believers to live in peace and assurance rather than fear of judgment.
