What does it mean to have true faith in Christ?

Answered in 2 sources

True faith in Christ involves believing in Him from the heart, trusting Him for salvation, and recognizing that it is a gift from God.

In the sermon, false faith is contrasted with true faith by demonstrating that true faith isn’t merely intellectual assent but a heartfelt conviction and trust in Jesus as the Savior. True faith arises from God's grace—it's not something we can generate ourselves. As noted in 1 Corinthians 1:20, the wisdom of the world does not lead to a true understanding of God; only through divine revelation can one grasp the nature of true faith. Thus, true faith in Christ is a deep-seated belief that acknowledges our need for a Savior and relies wholly on His work and grace for redemption and righteousness. It results in a transformed life that naturally expresses itself in service and worship.
