What does it mean to live under grace instead of the law?

Answered in 1 source

Living under grace means being freed from the law's condemnation and empowered by the Spirit to live righteously.

Living under grace, as stated in Romans 7:6, allows believers to serve in newness of spirit rather than adhering to the oldness of the letter of the law. The law was meant to reveal sin and our need for a Savior, showing us our helplessness. However, grace empowers us to live for God, as we are perceived as righteous through faith in Christ. The distinction lies in the relationship; rather than being driven by fear and guilt, we are motivated by love and gratitude for what Christ has done for us. In this way, grace transforms our lives, producing genuine fruit that glorifies God instead of mere compliance to rules.
