What does it mean to please God?

Answered in 2 sources

To please God means to live in faith and agreement with His Word, reflecting His righteousness through Christ.

Pleasing God involves living in accordance with His will, which is primarily accessed through faith. Hebrews 11:6 emphasizes that one must have faith in God and seek Him diligently. Pleasing God is not based on our works or merits but on our relationship with Christ, who provides us with righteousness. When we are in Christ, God sees us as pleasing, not because of our own actions but because of Christ's perfect obedience and sacrifice. Thus, to please God means to trust in Christ's finished work and to live out that faith in our daily lives.
