What does it mean to present ourselves to God?

Answered in 1 source

Presenting ourselves to God means offering our whole selves as living sacrifices for His service (Romans 12:1).

To present ourselves to God, as highlighted in Romans 12:1, is to submit our entire being—body, soul, and spirit—as living sacrifices. This act of offering is the believer's reasonable response to God's mercy and grace provided in Christ. It entails a conscious decision to turn away from self-serving motivations and offer oneself for God’s purposes. This presentation is not about attempting to earn favor or validation through our works but rather responding to the grace already bestowed upon us. By yielding to God's will, believers align their lives with His righteousness and partake in His transformative work within the world, essentially declaring our dependence on Him for spiritual vitality and direction.
