What does it mean to receive salvation?

Answered in 1 source

To receive salvation means to trust in Jesus Christ and accept the grace offered to us by God.

Receiving salvation involves acknowledging personal sin and placing complete faith in Jesus Christ as the only Savior. It is not through our works or religious practices that we attain salvation, but solely through faith in Christ’s atoning sacrifice on the cross. According to 1 Peter 1:9, we receive the end of our faith, which is the salvation of our souls. This acceptance of Christ transforms our standing before God from condemned to justified, offering us forgiveness and reconciliation.
