What does it mean to 'run the race' as a Christian?

Answered in 1 source

Running the race as a Christian involves deliberately pursuing spiritual growth and obedience to God (Hebrews 12:1-2).

To run the race as a Christian is to actively engage in a life of faith characterized by endurance and focus on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2). It requires setting aside all distractions, including sin that easily ensnares us, and pursuing a relationship with Christ. This race is not without struggles; however, the promise of spiritual rewards far outweighs the trials we face. Running the race means living in such a way that each action aligns with glorying God and advancing His kingdom, which ultimately forms a testament of our faith.
