What does it mean to submit to God's righteousness?

Answered in 1 source

Submitting to God's righteousness means recognizing Christ as our only hope and source of justification.

Submission to God's righteousness entails acknowledging that we cannot earn favor or justification through our own works, but must rely entirely on Christ for salvation. As stated in Romans 10:4, Christ is the culmination of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. It is through this submission that believers forsake prideful attempts to establish personal righteousness and instead lean fully on Christ’s merit. This act of submission involves repentance from self-reliance and an embracing of Christ as the sole basis for our standing before God. The realization that all our righteousness is but ‘filthy rags’ (Isaiah 64:6) compels us to humbly seek mercy at Christ’s feet.
