What does it mean to take Jesus' yoke upon me?

Answered in 1 source

Taking Jesus' yoke upon us means entering into a relationship with Him where we submit to His leadership and guidance.

To take Jesus' yoke upon us is to willingly submit to His lordship in our lives and to embrace the relationship He offers. A yoke is a tool that brings two together to work in harmony, thus reflecting our union with Christ (Matthew 11:29). By accepting His yoke, we acknowledge His authority and accept His guidance, which is not burdensome but freeing. It signifies a commitment to learn from Him, embrace His ways, and share in His mission. It shifts our focus from self-reliance to total dependence on His grace and strength to carry us through life's trials.
