What does Proverbs 14:12 teach about man's way?

Answered in 1 source

Proverbs 14:12 teaches that there is a way that seems right to man, but its end is death.

Proverbs 14:12 declares, 'There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.' This verse serves as a warning that human reasoning can often lead individuals away from the true path of God. Many believe they can reach God through their good works or self-righteousness, but these 'ways' ultimately result in separation from Him. The scripture emphasizes the necessity of adhering to God's way, which is only found in Jesus Christ. Only by recognizing our need for God's mercy and acknowledging Christ as the sole mediator can we escape the dire consequence of following our own path.
