What does resting in the Lord mean for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Resting in the Lord means ceasing our own efforts and trusting in His finished work for our salvation and daily needs.

Resting in the Lord signifies a deep trust in His accomplished work of salvation and provides peace amidst life’s trials. When we rest, we acknowledge that our salvation hinges on what Christ has done, not on our efforts or righteousness. As found in Hebrews 4:10, entering God’s rest allows us to cease striving and worrying, embracing the peace that comes from knowing He is in control. This resting faith frees us from the burdens of anxiety and allows us to focus on His faithfulness, thus empowering us to live faithfully in His service.
