What does Scripture tell us about God's view of man?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture reveals that God sees man as both worthy of attention and yet deeply flawed due to sin.

God's view of man is complex. On one hand, Scripture highlights man's worth, as indicated in Psalm 8:4-5, which asks, 'What is man that thou art mindful of him?' This shows God's concern and care for humanity. On the other hand, the same Scriptures illuminate man's fallen condition, with verses like Isaiah 64:6 articulating that all our righteous deeds are like filthy rags when compared to God’s holiness. Thus, we see a God who desires relationship with man, offering grace and redemption through Christ while also reminding us of our desperate need for mercy because of sin.
