What does the application of redemption mean?

Answered in 1 source

The application of redemption refers to how God's grace is actively bestowed upon individual believers, transforming their lives through the Holy Spirit.

Application of redemption focuses on the work of God within the hearts and lives of those whom Christ has redeemed. While redemption is accomplished through Christ's life, death, and resurrection, its application involves the personal experience of this grace in the life of every believer. This involves several processes including calling, regeneration, justification, adoption, sanctification, and ultimately glorification. As demonstrated in Romans 8:30, those God predestines are called, justified, and glorified, highlighting how every part of salvation points back to God’s initiative and grace. It is through the Holy Spirit that individuals are able to respond to God, enabling them to see their need for salvation and embrace the truth of the Gospel.
