The new birth, as spoken of in Titus 3:5, brings about spiritual regeneration that purifies the inner person. Furthermore, it is through faith and the blood of Jesus Christ that we receive a cleansed and renewed heart, as represented in Hebrews 9:14 '...the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanses our consciences.'
