What does the Bible say about abiding with Christ?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that to abide with Christ is to live in Him, relying on His strength and grace for salvation and safety.

Abiding with Christ means to live with Him and depend on Him entirely for our sustenance and safety. Just as a branch relies on the vine for nourishment, so we must rely on Christ for everything. Scripture emphasizes this in John 15 where Jesus states that apart from Him, we can do nothing. To abide with Him is to accept His invitation to dwell securely in His presence, as illustrated in the story of David and Abiathar, where David offers safety to the priest amidst peril. This reflects the comfort we have in Jesus, who invites us to find refuge in Him.
