What does the Bible say about anxiety and trust in God?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that we should not be anxious about our lives, but instead trust in God for our needs (Matthew 6:25-34).

In Matthew 6, Jesus addresses the issue of anxiety and the futility of worrying about our needs. He encourages us to recognize that our Heavenly Father provides for the birds and the lilies of the field, highlighting that we are of much greater value (Matthew 6:26, 28-30). Therefore, worrying does not add to our stature or improve our circumstances (Matthew 6:27). Instead, Jesus urges us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, assuring us that all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). This passage reassures believers that by focusing on Christ, our needs will be adequately met.
