What does the Bible say about Apollos?

Answered in 1 source

Apollos, an eloquent and knowledgeable preacher from Alexandria, was a key figure in the early church who powerfully preached the gospel of Christ.

Apollos, as described in Acts 18:24-28, was an eloquent man who was mighty in the Scriptures. He was well-educated and had a significant understanding of the Old Testament, but initially knew only the baptism of John. Aquila and Priscilla, upon hearing him preach, took him aside to instruct him more perfectly in the ways of God. His ability to convincingly demonstrate through the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ made him a powerful figure in early Christianity. The believers in Ephesus acknowledged his gifts by recommending him to the church in Corinth, where he contributed greatly to the faith of those who believed through grace.
