What does the Bible say about approaching a holy God?

Answered in 1 source

We can approach a holy God through the merit of Christ and His sacrifice, which is the only acceptable means.

In the sermon, it is emphasized that salvation is of the Lord and that our access to God is through Jesus Christ alone. We cannot approach God based on our own righteousness but must rely on the savory meat, representative of Christ's atonement. The Holy Spirit takes the things of Christ and shows them unto His people, teaching us that our acceptance before God comes wholly from the righteousness of Christ (Hebrews 10:19-22). Our approach is marked by faith in what Christ has accomplished for us, which is the essence of coming boldly to the throne of grace.
