What does the Bible say about approaching God accepted?

Answered in 1 source

We can only approach God accepted when we are robed in the righteousness of Christ, as illustrated in Genesis 27.

Genesis 27 illustrates how Jacob approached Isaac to receive the blessing, highlighted by God's mercy toward undeserving sinners. Just as Jacob had to be robed in Esau's raiment to be accepted by Isaac, we too must be robed in the righteousness of Christ to be accepted by God. This is crucial, as Romans 9 teaches that God’s election determines who receives His blessings, affirming that acceptance is based on faith and God’s grace rather than our merit.
