What does the Bible say about being a witness for God?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible states that all believers in Jesus Christ are His witnesses, called to testify of His greatness.

In Isaiah 43:10-13, God declares that His people are His witnesses, chosen to know, believe, and understand that He is God. This calling is universal among believers. Jesus reinforces this in Matthew 5, where He describes His followers as the 'light of the world.' Witnesses are not merely observers but individuals who have experienced God's grace and can testify to His workings. Though modern believers have not seen Jesus physically, they proclaim the truth based on the testimonies of the apostles and the work of the Holy Spirit in their hearts.
