What does the Bible say about being a witness for Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible calls all believers to be witnesses for Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit to testify about His person and work.

According to Acts 1:8, believers are called to be witnesses unto Jesus Christ, with the promise that they shall receive power from the Holy Spirit. Being a witness involves declaring the truth of the gospel, sharing what we know from Scripture and what we have experienced personally through God's grace. As believers, it is our privilege and duty to tell others about the Lord Jesus Christ and to be witnesses in our local communities and beyond.
