What does the Bible say about being chosen to serve?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that all of God's people are chosen in Christ Jesus to serve both on earth and in heaven (Acts 6).

In Acts 6, we see the early church's commitment to serving one another and fulfilling God's purpose through service. Believers are chosen to serve as a reflection of Christ's own servanthood. This calling is foundational to the church's mission, as every member is tasked with using their gifts for the edification of the body of Christ. Just as the apostles appointed deacons to assist in the daily needs of the church, believers today are encouraged to actively engage in service, following the example set by our Lord.
