What does the Bible say about being delivered from despair?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that we need deliverance from the pit of eternal judgment, not just from temporal troubles.

In Job 33, Elihu presents a critical truth: our greatest need is to be delivered from eternal judgment, which is represented as the pit. While Job was focused on his immediate sufferings, Elihu pointed out that true deliverance is found in God’s grace and the realization of our sinful condition. In Romans 10:9-13, we understand that believing in Christ and His resurrection is essential for salvation. God is sovereign in our trials, working all things for our good, ultimately delivering us from death through the gospel of grace.
