What does the Bible say about being down but not out?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that although we may feel down due to our circumstances, we are not out because God's grace allows for our deliverance.

In Exodus 6, the children of Israel found themselves in a state of despair due to their cruel bondage and the perceived failure of God's promises. They were unable to hear the message of hope delivered by Moses because they were walking by sight rather than by faith. However, the assurance is that God's deliverance does not depend on our ability to believe, but on His sovereign will and grace. This idea is echoed throughout Scripture, reminding us that God sees us in our lowest moments but does not abandon us. He acts on behalf of His people, ensuring that His promises will come to pass despite our circumstances.
