What does the Bible say about being fit for the kingdom of heaven?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that we are made fit for the kingdom of heaven by God's grace, not by our own merit.

In Colossians 1:12, it states, "giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light." By our natural state, we are not fit for heaven because we are born in sin and shaped in iniquity. However, through God's grace, we are qualified to partake in the glorious inheritance reserved for us. It's crucial for Christians to understand that our qualifications come solely from God's redemptive work through Christ, who made us fit by His blood and righteousness.
