What does the Bible say about being free yet serving others?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible emphasizes that although we are free in Christ, we should willingly serve others to further the gospel.

In 1 Corinthians 9:19, Paul states, 'For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all that I might gain the more.' This verse highlights the paradox of Christian freedom; believers are freed from the law and from the opinions of men but are called to serve others out of love. This servitude is not a return to bondage, but rather a willing act to further the kingdom of God and to bring others to the knowledge of Christ. The Christian is to forgo personal rights for the sake of serving others and advancing the gospel.
