What does the Bible say about being fruitful in Christ?

Scripture emphasizes that through the righteousness of our Savior, we have obtained precious faith, and that by His divine power, we are equipped with all that pertains to life and godliness. In 2 Peter 1:5-8, we are instructed to add to our faith characteristics such as virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love. The presence of these qualities in our lives ensures that we are neither barren nor unfruitful in our knowledge of Jesus Christ. This indicates that our growth and fruitfulness are reliant on our connection to Him, as he is the source of all we need to live a godly life.
