What does the Bible say about being in Adam?

Answered in 1 source

Being in Adam means that all humanity shares in his sin and death.

According to 1 Corinthians 15:21-22, 'For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.' This highlights the doctrine of federal headship where Adam represents all of humanity. His disobedience resulted in sin entering the world, which brings death upon all men (Romans 5:12). Hence, being in Adam signifies participation in his fallen nature and the consequent judicial condemnation that befalls humanity.
