What does the Bible say about being just and innocent before God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that only those who are perfectly just and innocent, like Christ, can dwell with God eternally.

According to Psalm 15:1-5, David asks who may abide in the presence of God, to which the answer reveals that one must be innocent and just. This righteousness is not achievable by any sinner since all have fallen short due to sin inherited from Adam. The only one who meets these standards is Christ, the God-man, who embodies perfect justice and innocence. Therefore, the only way for sinners to be accepted by God is through faith in Christ, who imputed His righteousness to His people.
