What does the Bible say about being made to differ?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that it is God who makes us differ from others in our understanding and reception of the gospel.

In 1 Corinthians 4:7, Paul asks, 'For who maketh thee to differ from another? And what hast thou that thou didst not receive?' This highlights a fundamental truth in sovereign grace theology: it is not our own merit or decision that distinguishes us from others, but the gracious act of God who sovereignly enables us to trust in the gospel. The recipient of such grace recognizes that all of their faith and salvation is a gift from God, not a product of their own efforts or choice.
