What does the Bible say about being saved by God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible describes being saved by God as Him making us fit and equipping us with power to serve Him, despite our inherent weakness and inability.

The Bible teaches that salvation is a work of God, who makes sinners fit to partake in the inheritance of the saints. Colossians 1:12-14 illustrates how God does this: He delivers us from the power of darkness and translates us into the kingdom of His dear Son. This transformative work is rooted in the idea that we, by ourselves, are incapable of achieving righteousness or understanding spiritual truth. God equips us with adequate power to perform duties and honor Him through the indwelling of Christ in us, as expressed in Galatians 2:20. It emphasizes that our sufficiency in His service is entirely derived from Him, not from our own abilities.
