What does the Bible say about being saved from ourselves?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that salvation involves being delivered from the guilt, dominion, and body of sin.

In Romans 7, the Apostle Paul expresses a deep recognition of his wretchedness in sin and his need for deliverance. He identifies that we must be saved from ourselves, which means being freed from the guilt of sin, the dominion that sin has over our hearts, and ultimately from this body of sin. The essence of salvation is recognizing our inability to overcome sin by our own strength, realizing that it is only through Christ Jesus that we can find true deliverance and redemption (Romans 7:24-25).
