What does the Bible say about being still and trusting God?

Answered in 1 source

Isaiah 30:15 teaches that in returning and rest we are saved, and that quietness and confidence shall be our strength.

In Isaiah 30:15, God reassures His people that true salvation and strength come from returning to Him and resting in His sovereignty. This message is directed at Israel, often depicted as rebellious, yet it extends to all of God's elect. The call to be still is an invitation to cease from our own efforts and to trust wholly in God's plan for our lives. Just as He spoke to the Israelites amidst their fears and worries about Pharaoh and Egypt, we are reminded today not to lean on earthly leaders or our understanding but to look to God for our strength, comfort, and security.
