What does the Bible say about believers' rest?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that believers will find rest both in this life and in eternal glory with Christ.

Hebrews 4:9-10 emphasizes that there remains a rest for the people of God, which is both a present spiritual rest found in faith and a future eternal rest in heaven. This rest is contrasted with the rest of the Israelites who failed to enter the Promised Land due to unbelief. Similarly, believers today are warned not to harden their hearts and miss the promise of this rest through lack of genuine faith. It is a reminder that while we have peace and rest now through Christ's finished work, there is also a glorious rest awaiting us in the presence of God for eternity.
