What does the Bible say about building a foundation on Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that building a foundation on Christ ensures stability and resilience against life's storms.

In Luke 6:47-49, Jesus illustrates the difference between two kinds of builders: one who builds his house on a rock and another who builds on the sand. The wise man who digs deep to lay his foundation on the rock is likened to those who come to Christ, hear His words, and obey them. In contrast, the foolish man builds without a foundation on the earth, resulting in immediate destruction when the storms come. This emphasizes the importance of having Christ as our foundation for a steadfast faith amidst trials and tribulations, as He is our rock and salvation (Psalm 62:6).
