What does the Bible say about Christ emptying Himself?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that Christ, though equal with God, emptied Himself by becoming a servant and taking on human likeness (Philippians 2:7).

Philippians 2:7 states that Christ made Himself of no reputation and took upon Him the form of a servant. This act of emptying Himself signifies a profound humility, where Jesus, being God in flesh, willingly set aside His divine prerogatives to fulfill the Father's will. By becoming a man, He fully identified with humanity, allowing Him to be the perfect mediator and sacrifice for our sins, thus glorifying God the Father through His obedience unto death.
