What does the Bible say about Christ's demands on believers?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that Christ demands total surrender and obedience from His followers.

In Luke 19:11-27, the parable illustrates that Christ expects His servants to be faithful and productive until His return. This means that He has rightful claims and demands on our lives. As John R. Mitchell explains, every believer is called to acknowledge Christ's lordship and submit fully to His authority. True believers will not only profess faith but will demonstrate their commitment through obedience and service to God. Any profession of faith that does not lead to a transformed life is suspect, as genuine faith manifests itself in action.
