What does the Bible say about Christ's one sacrifice?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that Christ's sacrifice was once for all, effectually putting away sin.

In Hebrews 9:26-28, the scripture explains that Christ appeared once at the end of the ages to put away sin through His sacrifice. This singular act was sufficient to bear the sins of many, effectively satisfying God's justice in a way that the repeated sacrifices in the Old Testament could not. These sacrifices were mere types and shadows of the ultimate sacrifice, pointing to the reality of Christ's redemptive work. Unlike the animal sacrifices that had to be repeated annually, Christ's death was complete and final, securing eternal redemption for His elect.
