What does the Bible say about Christ's purpose?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's purpose was to do the Father's business, primarily to save those given to Him by the Father.

The Bible clearly states that Christ came to fulfill the business given to Him by His Father. In John 6:37, we see that all whom the Father gives Him will come to Him, and He will not cast them out. This mission involves not only preaching the kingdom of God but also suffering, dying, and rising again for the salvation of His people (Matthew 16:21). Christ's mission was essential to realize God’s purpose; He came not to do His own will but to do the will of the Father who sent Him (John 6:38). Therefore, every must within Christ's life—like must suffering, must die, and must rise—was driven by the divine decree for the redemption of His elect.
