What does the Bible say about coming to God as a sinner?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that sinners can only come to God through faith in Jesus Christ, acknowledging their sin and need for a mediator.

The Bible clearly states that sinners, by nature, are separated from God due to their sinfulness. In Leviticus 1, we see an example of how sinners can approach God. This comes through bringing a sacrifice that represents their acknowledgment of sin and reliance upon a substitute. More importantly, the only way a sinner can find acceptance with God is through faith in Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. No human works, rituals, or good intentions can bridge that gap; it is only through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus that acceptance is granted.
