What does the Bible say about corrupt communication?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible instructs us to let no corrupt communication proceed from our mouths, but only that which is good and edifying.

In Ephesians 4:29, the Apostle Paul commands us to avoid corrupt communication and instead, speak only that which is good for the purpose of edifying others. This means that every word we utter should build others up and reflect the grace of God. In essence, corrupt communication can include anything that is sinful or dishonoring to God. Therefore, it is vital for Christians to carefully analyze their speech to ensure it aligns with God's standards.
