What does the Bible say about delivering ourselves from this world?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible calls believers to save themselves from a crooked and perverse generation by coming out and being separate from worldly influences.

In Acts 2:40, Peter exhorts the crowd to 'save yourselves from this crooked generation.' This call is a reminder for Christians to distance themselves from the moral decay and perverse culture surrounding them. Believers are encouraged to live according to God's standards rather than conforming to the ways of the world. John 17:15 reinforces this, where Jesus prayed for His followers to be kept from the evil one while still living in the world. This means that while we engage with society, we must not let its values shape our beliefs and behaviors. Instead, we must strive to reflect Christ in our lives, choosing to follow His teachings in a world that turns away from Him.
