What does the Bible say about excellent speech?

Answered in 1 source

Excellent speech is vital as it reflects the character of God and is suited only for those called by Him.

Excellent speech, as mentioned in Proverbs 17:7-8, refers to superior language that upholds truth and honors God. The Scriptures emphasize that God's Word is eternal and is a lamp unto our feet (Psalm 119:105); thus, the manner in which we communicate has immense significance. It is not appropriate for fools to speak God's truth, as this diminishes His honor and leads to serious consequences. When God's message is shared by those called by Him, it bears fruit and accomplishes His purpose.
