What does the Bible say about experiencing joy in God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that true joy comes from a relationship with God, not from worldly pleasures.

According to Romans 5:11, we rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ because He has reconciled us to Himself. This joy is not based on our circumstances but rather on the eternal truths of our faith. Joy in God reflects a deep-seated understanding of His sovereignty, love, and the redemption we have through Christ. As we grow in our faith and experience life’s trials, we come to truly understand and feel this joy, which is often matured through hardship and challenges.
