What does the Bible say about faith and its role in a believer's life?

Answered in 1 source

Faith determines what believers leave behind, how they live, and what they look forward to in life.

Faith is central to the believer's life as it shapes their actions and aspirations. In Hebrews 11:8-10, we see that faith compelled Abraham to leave behind his familiar surroundings and former idolatrous practices. True faith not only influences our past but also dictates how we approach life in the present, guiding our decisions and priorities according to God’s promises rather than earthly gains. Ultimately, faith also directs us to look forward to eternal realities, specifically a city and a relationship with God that is unshakeable and everlasting.
