What does the Bible say about faith and tribulation?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that tribulation works patience, experience, and hope, leading to the assurance of God's love.

Romans 5:3-5 states that we should glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces patience. This patience then brings experience, which in turn nurtures hope. Importantly, this hope, rooted in our experiences of God's faithfulness, does not disappoint us because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Thus, our trials serve to strengthen our faith and provide a clearer view of God’s steadfast love and grace in our lives.
