What does the Bible say about fear and God's protection?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible assures us that we should not fear, as God is our protector and has greater power than any enemy.

In 2 Kings 6, Elisha reassures his servant not to be afraid, declaring that those who are with them are more than those who are against them. This illustrates that God's protection is more powerful than any earthly threat. By opening the servant's eyes to see the heavenly hosts surrounding them, God demonstrates His active involvement and sovereignty over all situations. Thus, for Christians, the promise that God is greater than our fears is a central truth derived from scripture.
