What does the Bible say about fear and trusting God?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible encourages believers to 'fear not' and trust in God's strength during their struggles.

Isaiah 35:4 instructs those with a fearful heart to 'be strong, fear not.' This assurance is rooted in the believer's relationship with God, who offers strength and support in times of trouble. Like a timid soul trembling at overwhelming difficulties, when believers cling to God and trust in His strength, their fears diminish, and they gain courage to overcome their challenges.

Furthermore, the analogy of a father reassuring his child before a large dog illustrates how God's presence alleviates our fears, as He is the one who ultimately protects us from the dangers represented by our internal and external adversaries. With God's command to 'fear not,' He empowers us to face our trials, not by removing them, but by granting us the grace to endure and triumph over them.
