What does the Bible say about fear of death?

Answered in 3 sources

The Bible teaches that believers should not fear death, as Christ has delivered them from the fear of death through His sacrifice.

Hebrews 2:14-15 reveals that Christ partook of flesh and blood to conquer death and destroy the power of the devil, who had the power of death. For believers, death is not something to fear because Christ has borne the punishment and the sting of death for them. Instead of condemnation, believers can look forward to the promise of eternal life and a reunion with Christ, where there is no fear, only peace and joy in His presence.
