What does the Bible say about finding comfort in Christ?

Answered in 4 sources

The Bible teaches that true comfort is found in looking to Jesus, the source of hope and solace for believers.

In Isaiah 51:3, we see that the Lord promises to comfort Zion, transforming her wilderness into a place of joy and gladness. The passage emphasizes that believers should look to Christ, who is the only source of true comfort. Our tendency is often to look within ourselves or our circumstances for reassurance, but we must instead fix our eyes on Christ, who satisfies the demands of God’s justice by bearing our sins. This reality is reiterated in Isaiah 40, where God’s comfort is offered to His people, confirming that their sins are forgiven and their warfare is accomplished.
